The Next Level Pulsar Brewer is a seriously versatile manual brewer, designed for coffee people who want more control over what happens in the cup.

Developed in collaboration with astrophysicist and coffee researcher Jonathan Gagné, the Pulsar combines immersion and percolation brewing with a unique flow control valve. The result is a brewer that gives you far more control over agitation, flow rate and extraction than a conventional pour over.

Why the Pulsar?

Complete flow control
The integrated flow control valve lets you control when and how quickly the brewed coffee leaves the brewer. It also allows you to retain water during the bloom, giving you much greater flexibility over your recipe.

No bypass brewing
Unlike traditional pour over brewers, the Pulsar is designed so that water cannot bypass the coffee bed. This means the water you pour is forced to interact with the coffee, helping create a more even and consistent extraction.

Controlled pouring
The dispersion cap spreads water gently across the coffee bed, helping to wet the grounds evenly without excessive agitation.

Immersion meets percolation
The Pulsar gives you the freedom to experiment with different brewing styles. Use it as an immersion brewer, a percolation brewer, or combine the two to create your own recipe.

Excellent heat retention
The thermally stable plastic construction and dispersion cap help maintain slurry temperature throughout the brew, supporting consistent extraction.

Not just for coffee
The Pulsar can also be used for tea, including steep and release brewing and traditional Chinese gongfu style brewing.

Made for taking with you
Lightweight and portable, the Pulsar weighs less than half a pound and doesn't require a specialist kettle. It's just as comfortable on a kitchen worktop as it is in your travel kit.
