About the Producer
Café Granja La Esperanza has spent decades establishing itself as one of the world's most respected producers of competition coffees. The Herrera family's relentless pursuit of innovation has seen their coffees appear on championship stages around the globe, earning a reputation for exceptional quality, consistency and groundbreaking processing techniques.
From introducing Geisha to Colombia to continually refining fermentation protocols, every decision is driven by one goal: producing extraordinary coffee.
The Napoléon Process
The Napoléon process is one of Café Granja La Esperanza's most exclusive fermentation protocols.
Developed through years of experimentation, it uses an extended, tightly controlled anaerobic fermentation designed to intensify fruit character, sweetness and complexity without sacrificing the clarity and elegance that make Geisha so remarkable. Every stage of fermentation, drying and stabilisation is carefully monitored to create a coffee with exceptional balance and consistency.
Why We Chose This Coffee
Some coffees impress with intensity. Others impress with elegance.
The Napoléon Geisha somehow manages both.
It delivers remarkable tropical fruit, stunning florals and incredible sweetness, yet everything remains beautifully balanced and refined. This is the kind of coffee that reveals something new with every sip and rewards slow, thoughtful brewing.
Whether you're preparing for competition or simply want to experience one of the finest Geishas produced in Colombia, this coffee represents everything we love about exceptional specialty coffee.
Brewing Recommendation
☕ Filter or espresso
Brewed on a V60, Orea or Origami, the Napoléon process truly shines, revealing its layered florals, vibrant acidity and silky sweetness.
