About the coffee
Gotiti is a relatively young coffee processing station, established in 2022 on a two-hectare site in the Gedeb area of southern Ethiopia.
Working with 868 local farmers, the station processes approximately 500–600 tonnes of coffee cherries each year, sourced from smallholder farms throughout the surrounding community.
The station places a strong emphasis on quality, traceability and sustainability. Coffee is carefully recorded and kept separate throughout processing, ensuring each lot can be traced from the farmer through to export.
Alongside its commitment to quality, Gotiti supports its farming community through the provision of coffee seedlings, financial assistance for underprivileged farmers and premium payments based on coffee deliveries.
Why we roast it
We roast Ethiopia Gotiti to highlight its delicate balance of vibrant fruit, sweetness and floral complexity. The combination of strawberry, blackberry and apricot gives the coffee plenty of character, while the jasmine and floral tea notes bring an elegant, refined finish.
With a cup score of 87.25 and the distinctive character of high-altitude Ethiopian coffee, Gotiti is a fantastic example of the quality and individuality that makes Ethiopian coffee so special.
Brew it your way
Ethiopia Gotiti works beautifully as a filter coffee, where its delicate floral character, fruit clarity and tea-like qualities really come to life. Expect bright strawberry and blackberry notes alongside a gentle citrus lift and honey sweetness.
As espresso, the coffee becomes more concentrated and fruit-driven, bringing forward the strawberry, blackberry and apricot, with a sweet and lingering finish.
Best suited for filter and espresso methods.
